Race #7 – The G-1 Ballerina – 7f – 3:42 pm EDT

#6 Pink Sands is a daughter of Tapit for Shug McGaughey with Irad Ortiz in the saddle. She cuts back to 7f where she’s 6 for 8 ITM and sports a sharp work coming into the race. She’s a strong closer with a good late punch as Ortiz wins 22% with late runners. #1 Serengeti Empress comes in for Thom Amoss and Luis Saez aboard. She turns back from 9f and the barn wins 27% making a 2nd off the layoff run. She may improve at the shorter distance. #4 Bellafina is a daughter of Quality Road for Simon Callaghan has been knocking on the door and can make a solid late move. Jose Ortiz in the saddle and is winning 20% at the meet.

#5 Gamine is a daughter of Into Mischief for Bob Baffert and John Velasquez in the irons. She’s a perfect 3 for 3 lifetime and sports a good turn of early speed. She won the G1 Acorn by 18 lengths and shows a bullet work to prepare. Very dangerous and the one to beat. #6 Venetian Harbor is a daughter of Munnings for Richard Baltas with Joel Rosario aboard. She’s been a beaten chalk the last two efforts and has very sharp speed. Cuts back in distance and should be a major player. #2 Perfect Alibi comes in for Mark Casse and Tyler Gaffalione. She’s a closer and exits the G1 Belmont off a very wide closing effort. She is a perfect 2 for 2 at the Spa.

#6 Tiz the Law is a son of Constitution seeking his 4th straight win. He’s a perfect stalker and a versatile sort who makes his own luck for Barclay Tagg and Manny Franco. He is 1 for 1 at the Spa and only been beaten by three quarters for a perfect record. He’s been off for 49 days and has a solid work tab. Very dangerous. #4 Max Player is a son of Honor Code for Linda Rice and Joel Rosario. A late runner who will come calling when the pace allows. He was 7 wide closing against the favorite last out. The distance should help his causes greatly. #3 Uncle Chuck is a son of Uncle Mo for Bob Baffert and Luis Saez. He’s 2 for 2 and a dangerous pace player. His victory in the G3 Los Al Derby was strong but only faced three others. Today is his acid test.

#3 Midnight Bisou is a daughter of Midnight Lute and hails from the Steve Asmussen barn. She is 3 for 3 ITM at the Spa and makes her 2nd start off a layoff where she stalked and pounced at CD in the G3 Fleur De Lis. Ricardo Santana in the irons and they score 15% as a team. She is perfect ITM at the distance and should be the one to beat. #6 Point of Honor comes from the George Weaver barn with Javier Castellano in the saddle. She is 2 for 2 ITM at Saratoga and is a long range closer. Her last race in the G1 Ogden Phipps just missed by a nose as the beaten chalk. #1 Abounding Joy is a daughter of Quality Road for Rudy Brisset. Jose Ortiz has the call and she is a perfect stalker drawing the rail where it is winning at 30%. Exits a strong effort winning the Iowa Distaff as she steps up in class today.

#3 Code of Honor is a son of Noble Mission for Shug McGaughey with John Velasquez in the irons. He is 2 for 2 at the Spa with wins and a closing type. Johnny V wins with 20% of this type of runner, and his race in the G1 Metropolitan was a strong effort finishing third. It appeared he had more in the tank and should enjoy the extra eighth of a mile to run. #5 Tom’s d’ Etat hails from the Al Stall barn and has Joel Rosario in the irons 2nd off the layoff. He is 3 for 4 ITM at the Spa, ands seeks his fifth straight win. This son of Smart Strike is 7 for 9 ITM at the distance and a stalker. #1 By My Standards is a son of Goldencents for Bret Calhoun and Jose Ortiz. This is a 2nd off the layoff move drawing the rail where it is winning 30%. He’s had a good record this year and a logical choice to complete your exotics.

#6 No Parole is a speedy son of Violence for Thom Amoss and Luis Saez. This is his 2nd off the layoff and seeks his third win in a row. He’s a speedy fella and owns a bullet work to prepare. Catch him if you can. #5 Mischievous Alex is a stalker for John Servis and Irad Ortiz. He can lay just off the pace or take the lead if needed. He is 6 for 8 ITM lifetime. #2 Eight Rings comes from the Bob Baffert barn with Joel Rosario in the irons. This son of Empire Maker has speed and ships in from OP. This is 2nd start of the year and I’m looking for major improvement from his last race.

This is his 2nd start of the year and a fast closer. If there is any pace he’ll be rolling like a down bound train. #1 Marzo is a speedy sort for Mike Maker and Irad Ortiz in the saddle. The rail is winning at 30% and Ortiz wins 23% with his early style runners. #2 Cross Border hails from the Mike Maker barn with Jose Ortiz in the irons. A stalker who benefit from the early pace and move into contention before the late runners hit full stride. He’s won at the meet and is 4 for 4 with wins over the course. Major player for exotics.

#5 Sistercharlie hails from the Chad Brown barn and is 2 for 2 at Saratoga. She’s a solid late runner who has been on the shelf for 8 months. Her last race was the BC FM Turf and she finished a big 3rd. She loves the distance and Johnny V fits like a glove. This looks like the kickoff for 2020. #6 Starship Jubilee has been away for 4 months from TBD. Kevin Attard is the trainer with Javier Castellano in the irons. She’s looking for 4 in a row and looks to make her presence felt stalking just off the pace. #1 Call Me Love goes to post for Christophe Clement and cuts back from 10f and bred to relish the green. Her work is cut out today, but can easily be a player in the field.

#4 Volatile enters for Steve Asmussen and his go to rider Ricardo Santana. They are looking for four in a row off a 49 day layoff. He should stalk the pace and pounce when asked. His last race at CD was very impressive and it is time to take his skills to the Spa. #2 Whitmore hails from the Moquett barn with Joel Rosario in the irons. A long range closer who will need plenty of early speed to have him in top gear turning for home. He is 1 for 1 at the Spa and exits OP where the competition was tip top this season. #3 Firenze Fire enters for Kelly Breen and Irad Ortiz in the saddle. The perfect stalker who fits the field well. His victory in the G2 True North was a great prep turning back in distance.

#1 She’s So Special comes from the Peter Miller barn with Flavien Prat in the driver’s seat. She goes from a sprint to a route and will jet out for the lead. Prat wins 27% with his early runners and draws the rail. She’s been off 49 days off a last race win where the barn scores at a 25% clip. #3 Laura’s Light is a daughter of Constitution coming off a 56 day break. She is 5 for 6 ITM lifetime and should be right on the lead under Abel Cedillo who wins with 21% of his speed runners. #4 Over Attracted enters for Carla Gaines and Mike Smith in the saddle. She’ll come running late, and since shipping over from France in March has a fast closing 2nd and some very good works. I think she’ll be a major danger in here.

#5 Maximum Security comes in for Bob Baffert and Abel Cedillo picking up the mount. He exits a big win in the Saudi Cup and been off 4 months. He’s a gamer and will jump right to the lead. Baffert will want to keep him out of trouble and Cedillo wins 22% with his speed runners. The one to beat. #1 Higher Power enters in for John Sadler and Flavien Prat in the irons. Backs up from 10f and is one for one at DM. Draws the rail and can be a dangerous foe if Maximum Security runs into any problems. He should be a player in your exotics. #4 Combatant  is a long range closer for John Sadler and Drayden Van Dyke. Exits the G2 Oaklawn Hcp and had a tough trip. He’ll come calling late, and could be a nice addition to your exotics.

#7 Decorated Invader hails from the Christophe Clement barn and is 2 for 2 ITM at Saratoga. 2nd start off the layoff looking for three in a row. Joel Rosario is the pilot for this closer and he wins 18% with late runners. His last race showed good things to come and should be a major player. #5 Gufo ships in from Delaware and is seeking his 5th straight win. He relishes the turf and should be rolling from the back under David Cohen for Clement. The barn scores at a 20% win clip making the 2nd off the shelf move. #1 Domestic Spending is a lightly raced colt from the Chad Brown barn. He had a nice mid pack stalking win at CD and should be closer to the front waiting to pounce. This is a step up in class and the barn wins 29% off a last race win.

Look for this stalker to get in the game at the top of the stretch. Irad Ortiz is the pilot. #6 Paris Lights is a daughter of Curlin for Bill Mott. She looks for her 3rd straight win and Mott wins 13% with graded runners. She’s a stalker and Tyler Gaffalione is in the saddle. #3 Altaf is a closer from the Chad Brown barn. She exits off a strong win at CD and the barn wins 30% with shippers. She steps up in class getting the acid test.

He is eligible to improve in his 3rd off the shelf move. #3 Muggsamatic makes his 2nd off the layoff for Mike Maker. He is 5 for 7 ITM over the course and comes rolling from the back of the pack. Paco Lopez in the irons and he wins 19% with his turf runners. #5 Aquaphobic comes from the Mike Maker barn with Joe Bravo aboard. This is his 3rd off the layoff move and ran a solid 4th in the G2 Wise Dan. He’s a pressing type runner and will make a move around the far turn.

#2 Authentic hails from the Baffert barn and has Mike Smith aboard. A real speedy colt who can put out their lights early oif left alone on the lead. Baffert has won this race eight times and looks the one to beat. Catch him if you’re gonna beat him. #1 Dr. Post is a solid closer type for Todd Pletcher and Joe Bravo in the saddle. If the pace is solid, he may be the one to play the role of the spoiler. 2nd time off the shelf and has a sharp work coming into the race. That was a very good race running 2nd to Tiz the law last out in the G-1 Belmont Stakes. #7 NY Traffic is a speedy type runner for Saffie Joseph with Paco Lopez in the driver’s seat. He can break quickly as Lopez wins 25% with early style runners. If the favorite doesn’t break well this guy may do the heavy lifting.

Race #5 – The G1 Madison – 7f – 3:18 pm EDT

#5 Guarana is a daughter of Ghostzapper and makes her 2nd start of the year. She hails from the Chad Brown barn with Jose Ortiz in the irons. She is 1 for 1 at 7f, and a closeup stalker. Her last prep was perfect and the barn wins 28% off the last race win. #4 Princess Causeway enters for Ian Wilkes and Julien Leparoux in the saddle. She is perfect at the distance and over the KEE strip as a late runner. She goes from 6f to 7f and lightly raced. Toss out her last race and she’s a player today. I like the 2nd off the layoff move and sharp works coming into the race. #7 Mia Mischief is 2 for 2 ITM at KEE for Steve Asmussen and his go to rider Ricardo Santana in the saddle. She’s a stalker and should be just off the pace. The added distance should have her closer and Santana wins 17% with early runners.

Race #6 – The G2 Shakertown – 5 1/2 f on turf – 3:51 pm EDT

#9 Texas Wedge comes from the barn of Peter Miller with Flavien Prat in the saddle. This is his 3rd off the layoff and was a fast closing 2nd at KEE in the past. He is a late runner and may relish the distance where he is 6 for 8 ITM. #2 Wildman Jack is a son of Goldencents and comes from the Doug O’Neill barn with Mike Smith in the irons. After coming back from Dubai he rallied just off the pace and won the G3 Daytona. He looks prepped and ready and 6 for 6 ITM at the distance. #10 Totally Boss comes in for Rusty Arnold off a troubled trip at CD. It was his first start since the BC Turf Sprint and had to be taken up after the break. His works are solid and the trainer wins 27% on a 2nd out effort.

She is 4 for 4 ITM lifetime and should be the major danger on the lead. #4 Envoutante is a mid flight stalker for Kenny McPeek with Jose Ortiz aboard. Ortiz is an excellent speed rider and wins 20% with runners who break quickly. The daughter of Uncle Mo is coming off a good prep and has some sharp works. #3 Bonny South is a late runner from the Brad Cox barn. John Velasquez has the call and wins 20% with late runners. She exits off a win in the G2 FG Oaks and will come calling late in the lane.

#3 Swiss Skydiver hails from the Ken McPeek barn with Mike Smith in the saddle. She has a sharp speed and Smith is an artist winning 25% with early style runners. She exits off a sharp win in the G2 SA Oaks and should be the pace danger. #3 Art Collector comes from the Thom Drury barn with B.J. Hernandez in the driver’s seat. This son of Bernardini is a mid pack closer and Hernandez wins 44% with Drury. Since shifting over from the turf he’s been a new runner. Drury is on the rise and is winning 19% on the year. #8 Basin is a son of Liam’s Map for Steve Asmussen and Ricardo Santana aboard. He comes off a solid 2nd in the G1 Arkansas Derby and should chase the pace and pounce.

Race #9 – The G1 Metropolitan – 1 mile – 5:47 pm EDT

BetPTC.com Selections / #2- Vekoma / #3 – McKinzie / #4 – Hog Creek Hustle

#2 Vekoma hails from the barn of George Weaver with Javier Castellano in the saddle. This is his 2nd off the layoff and the barn scores at a 22% win clip. A perfect stalker who is 2 for 2 at Belmont and fits the distance nicely. This son of Candy Ride looks the major danger and should give a top effort. #3 McKinzie comes from the barn of Bob Baffert and has the same style as Vekoma. He ships in from SA where the barn wins at a 32% clip. When Team Baffert comes to New York there is usually a good reason. This son of Street Sense is solid and brings his top game every time. These two should knock heads turning for home. #4 Hog Creek Hustle makes a 3rd off the shelf move for Vickie Foley. A solid closer who is 1 for 1 at Belmont and gets a rider change to Jose Ortiz. His last win came in the G1 Woody Stephens at Belmont last year at a big price.

Race #10 – The G1 Manhattan – 1 1/4 on the turf – 6:20 pm EDT

#2 Rockemporer ships in from SA as a beaten chalk in the G2 Charlie Whittingham. This son of Holy Roman Emporer (IRE) is a solid closer who is 3 for 4 ITM at the distance. Johnny V in the saddle for Chad Brown and he came rolling on the inner turf last year at this time. #1 Instilled Regard hails from the Chad Brown barn with Irad Ortiz. They are winning at a 36% clip as a team. He is 1 for 1 at Belmont and appears to enjoy the inner turf and could be a player as they turn for home. #4 Sadler’s Joy makes a 2nd off the shelf move for Thom Albertrani. They cut back in distance and Javier Castellano knows this son of Kitten’s Joy, and will be moving at the right time. I love the bullet work coming in showing all systems go.

#1 Tacitus ships in from Oaklawn Park off a troubled trip getting carried wide for trainer Bill Mott. He’s been off for 2 months and John Velasquez is the pilot. The last race looked like a perfect prep stretching back out to 9f. A stalker with a bullet work and getting blinkers today. #6 Sir Winston comes in for trainer Mark Casse and Joel Rosario. This son of Awesome Again is 3 for 3 ITM at Belmont and should come calling late. Has plenty of back class and can be dangerous. #4 Mr. Buff enters in for John Kimmel and has tons of early speed. Junior Alvarado in the irons who can shake loose and be dangerous if left alone. This New York bred is a solid and 9 for 13 ITM over the course. He was a beaten chalk last out and the barn comes back to score 16%.

Race #8 – The G2 New York – 1 1/4 on the turf – 5:04 pm EDT

#6 Mrs Sippy closing daughter of Blame for Graham Motion and Joel Rosario. She’s been off for 7 months and comes back with some solid works ready to fire. She drops in class and Rosario wins 17% with his turf runners. Look for her late in the lane running quick. #7 Mean Mary is  speedy gal who hails from the Motion barn as well. She may play the part of the rabbit, or just take them start to finish under Luis Saez who wins 19% with speedy runners. #1 Call Me Love is a closer for the Christopher Clement going 2nd start off the layoff where they score 20% off this move with Irad Ortiz in the irons.

That was a better race in the G1 Carter than appears and he got good work that day. Ortiz wins 25% with sprinters and is 4 for 6 ITM over the course. #7 Promises Fulfilled is a speed gunning type for Dale Romans and Luis Saez in the saddle. Saez wins 21% with early runners and has some good works over the deep CD track. #3 Wicked Trick is a long range closer for Linda Rice and Jose Lezcano who have done good work over the years.

Her last win was impressive going 7f and the added distance will be welcome as Irad Ortiz wins 36% with Brown and 26% with early runners. #1Beau Recall is a very impressive closer from the Brad Cox barn with Jose Ortiz in the driver’s seat. She loves to come calling late in the lane and has some solid works to have her ready. Ortiz teams up to win 20% with Cox and will be the major danger in the lane.

She is the one to beast and Smith in town is a positive sign. #4 Serengeti Empress is a speedy gal who exits the G1 Apple Blossom at OP. Thom Amoss is winning 20% at the meet, and Joe Talamo has the call. She will dictate the pace when the real running begins and may run into one tough gal with Midnight Bisou.
