#1 A Thread of Blue has been off two months for the Kiaran McLaughlin barn. Luis Saez in the saddle for this son of Hard Spun. He is a perfect stalker and can take over the lead if the fractions are slow. He is seeking his 4th win in a row and Saez opts for this mount over Social Paranoia. #2 Social Paranoia is a son of Street Boss for trainer Todd Pletcher. His first start of 2019 was super impressive and switches riders to Manny Franco. He is 6 for 6 ITM lifetime and a big effort may be on the agenda for this late running colt. #8 Avie’s Flatter is a son of Flatter for trainer Josie Carroll. He is looking for his fourth straight win exiting off an impressive win in the G3 Transylvania.

Race #11 – The G1 – Turf Classic – 1 1/8 on the turf – 5:25 pm EDT

BetPTC.com Selections / #2 – Raging Bull / #9 – Synchrony / #12 – Bricks and Mortar

#2 Raging Bull is a son of Dark Angel (IRE) for trainer Chad Brown with Joel Rosario in the irons. He is a late runner who will make his presence felt at the top of the lane while making his 2nd start of the year. Heavily backed last out, Bull gave a very good account of himself last time out. He has an explosive turn of foot. #9 Synchrony is a son of Tapit for trainer Mike Stidham. John Velasquez in the saddle and he is 1 for 1 ITM at CD. This is his 3rd start off the layoff where the barn wins 23%. Look for Johnny V to come rolling late in the stretch. #12 Bricks and Mortar hails from the Chad Brown barn with Irad Ortiz as the pilot. 2nd off the layoff seeking four straight wins. He is 3 for 3 going the distance and Ortiz is a strong finisher down the lane. The only knock is overcoming the #12 post.

*** Omaha Beach is a late scratch and #20 – Bodexpress draws into the race ***

BetPTC.com Selections / #17 – Roadster / #16 – Game Winner / #6 Vekoma

#17 Roadster is one of three runners for the Bob Baffert camp. He is a son of Quality Road and Florent Geroux is in the saddle. This is his 3rd start off the layoff, lightly raced, and if you watched the G1 Santa Anita Derby, you’ll see an incredible effort. He settled in, dropped back and made an explosive move around the bend. Geroux is an excellent reinsman and I’m looking for him to wear the roses this year. #16 Game Winner is a son of Candy Ride for trainer Bob Baffert. 1 for 1 at CD and 3rd off the layoff for this colt. Since winning the B/C Juvenile last year he owns a pair of 2nd place efforts in the G2 Rebel and G1 Santa Anita Derby. He’s a game runner and does very little wrong. I’m looking for a perfect stalking trip to make it a Baffert exacta. #6 Vekoma is a son of Candy Ride for trainer George Weaver. Javier Castellano in driver’s seat, and this guy has a wicked turn of foot. He should stalk just off the pace and make a move around the far turn. If Mother Nature gets ugly, he is bred well to love a wet surface.

The rider and trainer have been 10 for 14 ITM the past two weeks and had a rough trip stepping up in class last out. The drop back down and move to high percentage Javier Castellano should have him up close stalking. #9 Unbridled Juan is a son of Unbridled’s Joy for trainer Jose Corrales. Maker wins 24% coming back off this angle and cuts back from the two mile distance. He had a tough trip last out lacking room and just missing at the wire. Today could be payback time. #7 Canessar comes from the Arnaud Delacour barn. He is a stone cold closer and has the services of high percentage Javier Castellano in the saddle. He’s been off 6 months and has a solid work pattern.

Very dangerous runner. #8 Gunnevera is a stone cold closer from the Antonio Sano barn. He is 8 for 9 ITM at GP and came flying late in the BC Classic. #2 Henley’s Joy is a son of Kitten’s Joy from the Mike Maker barn. Tyler Gaffalione in the irons and they exit the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf finishing a dismal 13th. It could have been the track condition or just a cut above his reach for now. He has looked very sharp on the turf and finished a brilliant 2nd in the G3 Bourbon at Keeneland. He takes a huge drop in class and this may be his coming out party for big things in 2019. #1 Life Mission is son of Noble Mission for trainer Ben Colebrook. He is 4 for 5 ITM on the green and yet to find the winner’s circle. He’s been on some soft courses and might relish a tighter turf. Luis Saez in the saddle and he scores 15% riding on the turf. Ever since shipping in from Ireland he’s looked better with each start. #9 Louder Than Bombs returns to the turf and is 2 for 3 with wins on the greensward. She draws the rail and has the typical look of a Brown runner who could score at first asking in the states. #4 A Bit Special looks to relish the turf going 3 for 3 ITM. Patrick Biancone is the conditioner and is always dangerous with his turf runners. She’s been off for two months and Romero Maragh has been aboard all three times. I like her chances to come calling late to storm past in the stretch. #9 Red Hot Dame is a daughter of Violence who has sprinted her last two efforts. Todd Pletcher and John Velasquez team up and the added distance may fit her well. Pletcher wins 27% going a route for the first time and she can easily upset the apple cart.

Two back she went from a sprint to a one turn mile at CD in the Rags to Riches four wide gaining on the winner. She should benefit from the high percentage Castellano 25% at Aqueduct and be much closer to the action. 2nd route races yield a 21% win clip from the Wilkes barn. #1 Enliven comes from the Kiaran McLaughlin stable and is a stone cold closer. She ran a very game 3rd in the G3 Tempted and gets the services of Jersey Joe Bravo. The rail is winning 28% and she’ll come calling late in the lane. #6 Afleet Destiny comes off a quick closing effort at Parx for Uriah St. Lewis with strong closing rider Irad Ortiz in the irons. I’m looking for a big effort getting the job done around the far turn. #8 Pattern Recognition comes in off a win in the G2 Kelso and should be a major pace player for the Chad Brown barn. He is 2 for 2 at Aqueduct and looks for three in a row. I think Jose Ortiz will send and he’s one of the best speed riders in the nation. #1 Mendelssohn is a son of Scat Daddy for Aidan O’Brien with Ryan Moore in the saddle. He’ll show good speed, and Moore is always dangerous anytime he takes a mount. He’s cutting back from a mile and a quarter and may improve at the shorter distance.

#10 Firenze Fire comes to post for Jason Servis with Irad Ortiz in the saddle. This is the 2nd start off a brief layoff and takes a plunge down the class ladder. He was rolling late in the G1 H.A. Jerkins and bumped soundly getting forced wide. There is plenty of speed to set him up and trainer Jason Servis is winning at a 23% clip. #1 Still Having Fun is a son of Old Fashioned for Timothy Keefe. Joel Rosario in the irons making his 2nd start off the layoff move. He won the G2 Woody Stephens and got caught wide in the G1 H.A. Jerkins and should relish the turnback in distance. #4 Engage comes to post for Chad Brown and has the services of Jose Ortiz in the saddle. 3rd time off the shelf and has two solid preps coming into this race. He always fires and Ortiz fits him like a glove.

Race #10 – The G1 Cotillion – 1 1/16 – 4:55 pm EDT

BetPTC.com Selections /#2 – Monomoy Girl / #5 -Separation of Powers / #7 -Midnight Bisou

#2 – Monomoy Girl should be a heavy favorite in this event for the Brad Cox barn. She is looking for her 6th in a row and sports good early foot. Florent Geroux in the driver’s seat and he’s looking to keep her record a perfect six for six. She’s gonna be tough to beat. #5 Separation of Powers is a daughter of Candy Ride for the Chad Brown barn. Jose Ortiz has the call and she is a strong stalking closer. I see her getting a garden trip rating behind the speed and she’ll make a  run at the top of the lane. #7 Midnight Bisou comes in for trainer Steve Asmussen with Mike Smith aboard. She was a beaten favorite in the G1 Alabama and cuts back in distance today. Asmussen wins 25% on the beaten chalk angle and she is showing good morning works over the deep Oklahoma training track.

Race #11 – The G1 Pennsylvania Derby – 1 1/8 – 5:45 pm EDT

BetPTC.com Selections / #8 – McKinzie / #10 – Bravazo / #7 – Mr. Freeze

#8 McKinzie is a son of Street Sense for trainer Bob Baffert. He is 4 for 4 ITM and exits the G2 San Felipe and been on the shelf for 6 months. He has some speedy works in California and Baffert wins 34% with his shippers. #10 Bravazo is a son of Awesome Again for D. Wayne Lukas. Luis Saez in the saddle and exits a solid trip in the G1 Travers, This is a 3rd off the shelf move and he owns some solid works over the deep Churchill oval. He’ll be rolling late in the lane. #7 Mr. Freeze comes from the barn of Dale Romans with Robby Albarado in the irons. This son of To Honor and Serve is 4 for 4 ITM and likes to launch a late bid. He’s been off for 49 days and shows some very nice morning works at CD. He should be a very good value play and his price may have you tossing him into your exotics.
