This is her 3rd off the layoff move where the barn wins 21% seeking her fourth win in a row. Should be a closeup stalker for a barn who is winning 22% off the last race win. #7 Special Perfection hails from the Mark Casse barn with Javier Castellano getting the nod. This is her 2nd off a layoff effort and was a beaten favorite last out where Team Casse wins 24% looking for payback. A solid closer cutting back in distance and her last race shows plenty of promise. #2 Break Even comes from the Brad Cox barn with Joel Rosario in the saddle. This is her 2nd off the layoff move and is 1 for 1 at CD. Speed galore from this gal, and Rosario wins 27% with early speed. Moving up in class and has a solid morning work under her belt.

She is bred for the greensward and Ortiz wins 21% with his late running turf closers. #13 Elizabeth Way is a daughter of Frankel (GB) for Roger Attfield and B.J. Hernandez gets the call. She’s been off two months and cuts back in distance today. Hernandez wins 18% with his turf mounts and we should look for her in the final furlong uncorking a rally. #2 Beau Recall hails from the barn of Brad Cox with Shaun Bridgmohan in the saddle. She is 1 for 1 at CD and was a beaten chalk last out in the G1 Rodeo Drive at SA. Look for her to come calling late for Slam Dunk Racing and Medallion Racing. She is a major danger.

Rispoli wins 21% with his late runners and 23% with his overall turf mounts. #9 Stella Star enters for John Sadler with Flavien Prat aboard. 2nd off the layoff for Sadler where he wins 20%. She was off slow last out, and six wide turning for home. Prat is a turf master and will have her in high gear down the lane. #5 Laura’s Light hails for the Peter Miller barn with Abel Cedillo reuniting. A speedy daughter of Constitution who was a beaten favorite last out. She exits off the poly track at Turfway Park and is 2 for 2 at SA. She can be double trouble if left alone on the lead.

Santa Anita Race #4 – The G2 San Carlos – 7f – 4:00 pm EDT

#3 Roadster is a son of Quality Road for Bob Baffert with Mike Smith. He was a beaten favorite in the G2 San Pasqual and cuts back in distance. He sports three sharp works and owns a 5 for 6 ITM record over the course. The cut back in distance with Smith aboard will have him rolling late in the lane. #2 Flagstaff comes from the John Sadler barn with Victor Espinoza in the irons. He is 6 for 6 ITM at SA and this son of Speightstown should jump right to the lead from the break. He hopped at the start last out as the beaten chalk and looks to make amends today. #1 Manhattan Up is a son of Street Sense and makes a big move up the class ladder. This is his 3rd off the layoff move and owns a 6 for 8 ITM record at SA. He loves 7f and should be a factor late.

She has faced the boys’ plenty in her past and should not have any surprises here. Very solid contender. #4 Next Shares hails from the Richard Baltas barn with Flavien Prat aboard. He had a tough trip in the G1 Pegasus Turf and looks to rebound with a change of riders. He will make his presence felt when the field turns for home. #8 Frontier Market is a son of Lemon Drop Kid for trainer John Sadler and Joel Rosario up. He gets first time Blinkers where the barn wins 18% on the equipment move. He was off a bit slow last out and the equipment change may keep him focused on business. Add in a bullet work and I’m expecting big things today.

Undefeated and solid works show readiness to move on to the next level. #4 Authentic comes in for Bob Baffert and Drayden Van Dyke. He’s a perfect stalker who should be right off the leader. Being undefeated in two starts and a bullet work are signs of good things to come. #6 Storm the Court comes from the barn of Peter Eurton and Joel Rosario in the driver’s seat. After winning the BC Juvenile last year this son of Court Vision is making his 2nd start off the layoff today. He should be forwardly placed and Rosario wins 27% with his early runners.

He is 5 for 6 ITM at SA and should get a perfect stalking trip. Espinoza is 58% ITM with early runners. #8 Endorsed comes in for Kiaran McLaughlin who will be retiring from training to become an agent. He has Drayden Van Dyke aboard and been off for 56 days. The barn scores 21% with shippers as they made the trip from Gulfstream. This son of Medaglia d’ Oro is a solid closer and the jock wins 29% with late runners.

The rail, the rider, and early speed make him dangerous. #2 Syndergaard hails from the barn of John Terranova with Jose Lezcano in the saddle. He’s coming off a 9 month layoff and the barn scores with 22% off a long rest. There should be a solid stalking trip in his future with a record of 3 for 4 ITM at AQU he should be right in the mix turning for home. #4 I Love Jaxson comes in for Linda Rice with Eric Cancel in the driver’s seat. Rice is winning 22% at the meet and coming off a last race win where the barn scores at a 26% clip. He’s a deep closer and be motoring at the top of the lane.

She’ll come running late for Tyler G who looks to keep her record rolling. #7 Moral Reasoning is a daughter of More Than Ready for Chad Brown and Javier Castellano in the saddle. She’s a solid closer and gets added distance where Team Brown wins 32% moving to a route of ground. #1 Sunset Promise comes in for Mike Maker and Irad Ortiz. She is 3 for 4 ITM at GP and was bumped hard in her last effort managing a 4th place effort. The rider and trainer have been red hot the past couple of weeks.

He is 1 for 1 at GP and the Florida bred comes off an ultra impressive maiden win scoring by 11 lengths. He gets a rider change to Jose Ortiz who wins 19% with sprinters. #5 Shivaree comes in for Ralph Nicks winning 23% at the meet. Emisael Jaramillo in the irons seeking his 4th straight win looking for a stalking trip.

Manny Franco in the irons and they exit the G2 Ky. Jockey Club at CD after getting bottled up in traffic. A two month layoff accompanied by a bullet work makes this New York bred attractive. #4 Ete Indian comes in for Patrick Biancone with Luca Panici in the saddle. Since moving from the turf he showed great interest in the main track. He moves up in class and owns a solid work in preparation.

This is a 3rd off the layoff effort for a versatile runner. He can grab the lead of lay just off the pace. Brice Blanc is the pilot and should be on the front at the gate break in this field.

This son of Bodemeister cuts back in distance where he is 5 for 5 ITM going 7f. Look for an up close effort under the guidance of Smith. #3 Law Abiding Citizen goes to post for trainer Mark Glatt. This son of Twirling Candy hasn’t run in 55 days and makes a turf to dirt switch. He won the G3 San Simeon and has some sharp morning works coming into the race. He will be forwardly placed at the gate break. #5 Nero is a son of Pioneer of the Nile for Bob Baffert. Drayden Van Dyke gets the nod and the colt has been working sharply. He’s been on the shelf for 55 days and I’m looking for an up close effort.

Beaten chalk last out and this maiden has a sharp work coming into the race. #2 Sold It is a speedy daughter of The Factor for trainer Doug O’Neill. Rafael Bejarano in the saddle and ships up from SA making the turf to synthetic switch. Catch her if you can as she’ll come out rolling. #5 Respect My Candor has the services of Flavien Prat as she seeks her 3rd straight win. She’s been effective sprinting and gets an acid test today. Trainer Bill McLean has been 6 for 9 ITM the past two weeks.

They are cutting back from 9f and should have more gas in the tank. #7  More Ice is a son of More Than Ready for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer. Rafael Bejarano in the driver’s seat and exits the G1 Santa Anita Derby making his 2nd off the layoff. He’s a closer and look for him at the top of the lane. #8 Visitant is a son of Ghostzapper for John Martin. He’s a perfect two for two and can come motoring late in the lane. If there is a solid pace he could become a major player turning for home.

Dermot Weld wins 25% with first time Lasix. #10 River Boyne comes from the Jeff Mullins with Flavien Prat in the saddle. 2nd start off the layoff and this closer owns a bullet work exiting the G1 Kilroe Mile. Prat is winning 29% on the sod and is very dangerous. #9 Souter is a son of Poet’s Voice (GB) for trainer Mark Glatt. He is 10 for 13 ITM on the grass looking for his 3rd start. Cutting back in distance and the barn wins 27% with graded stakes.

He is a long range closer exiting the G1 Santa Anita Handicap. Look for him late around the far turn.
