The barn wins 26% with graded stakes and is a horse for the course going 5 for 5 ITM. His early speed should have him in striking position when they make the turn for home. #1 Admiralty Pier is a son of English Channel for the Barbara Minshall barn. He is making a big drop in class and the barn wins 26% going from a route to a sprint. Rafael Hernandez should have in mid flight waiting to make a move at the top of the lane.

#8 Starship Jubilee hails from the Kevin Attard barn with Luis Contreras in the saddle. The trainer wins 18% with graded stakes and was impressive winning the G2 Canadian last out. She is 8 for 12 ITM at Woodbine and should be in mid pack waiting to launch a bid. The added ground should be a bonus for his running style. #7 Imperial Charm is a daughter of Dubawi for trainer Simon Crisford. She gets Lasix and as she ships over from Longchamp. Andrea Atenzi makes the trip and this filly is bred to love the turf. Her dam Reem Three has 5 starters, 5 winners, and 5 turf winners to her credit. #4 Si Que Es Buena comes from the Graham Motion barn with Chris Landeros in the irons. Keeneland / Friday

Race #8 – The G2 Phoenix – 6f – 4:57 pm EDT

BetPTC.com Selections / #3 – Whitmore / #6 – Hog Creek Hustle / #7 – Promises Fulfilled

#3 Whitmore is from the Ron Moquette barn with Joel Rosario in the saddle. Been off for three months and has an affinity for Keeneland, being 2 for 2 ITM. He lost by a nose in last year’s edition and sports some sharp works to prepare. This closer has real upsides as he fires very strong off the layoff. #6 Hog Creek Hustle is a son of Overanalyze for Vickie Foley. Corey Lanerie in the irons and he fits this deep closer like a glove. I’ve been watching this guy since February in the G2 Risen Star. He is maturing very nicely. #7 Promises Fulfilled is a son of Shackleford for Dale Romans and Luis Saez has the mount. A speedy colt who will ensure an honest pace. Add in he is 2 for 2 at Kee and he’s hard to dismiss.

Race #9 – The G1 Alcibiades – 1 1/16 – 5:30 pm EDT

BetPTC.com Selections / #7 – Perfect Alibi / #4 – Alandra / #9 – Sequin

#7 Perfect Alibi comes from the Mark Casse barn and Jose Ortiz is the pilot. A daughter of Sky Mesa who is 3rd off the layoff seeking her 3rd in a row.  She exits the G1 Spinaway, exchanging bumps but drawing away late. She should be a bit closer and pounce on the far turn with a quick turn of foot. Ortiz wins 21% with closing type runners. #4 Alandra is a daughter of Blame for Shug McGaughey and Joel Rosario. A speedy filly who won her only start. The distance should be no problem and her dam Altesse is a perfect 3 for 3 with her progeny. #9 Sequin is making the turf to dirt switch coming from Kyd for trainer Wesley Ward. Tyler Gaffalione has the call and has two very good place efforts. Ward spots his runners well and to drop a maiden in here could get you a square price. Both efforts were beaten chalk attempts and Ward can bring them ready.

BetPTC.com Selections / #6 – Vasilika / #7 – Indian Blessing / #11 – Rushing Fall

#6 Vasilika comes from the Hollendorfer barn with Flavien Prat in the irons. She cuts back to a mile and can give plenty of grey hairs watching her come flying in the shadow of the wire. Her late kick is ultra impressive and the barn wins 21% making a 3rd off the layoff move. Prat will have her high gear turning for home. #7 Indian Blessing comes from the Ed Walker yard with Jamie Spencer in the saddle. Two back they shipped over from Germany and then came rolling late to be bested by a dirty nose in the G-2 Ballston Spa. Look for her silks in the final yards down the lane. #11 Rushing Fall is a speedy gal for Chad Brown and Javier Castellano teaming up. She’s been off for two months and been working a regular morning clip. Castellano wins 21% with speedsters and he’ll drop over from the outside post to find a comfy position to save some ground. If she can grab the lead around the far turn she could be very dangerous.

His bullet work shows promise that all systems are go as they get added ground going two turns. #2 By Your Side is a son of Constituition for trainer Eddie Kennealy and Corey Lanerie. He’s game and Spencer is a world class rider. #6 Admission Office is a son of Point of Entry for Bryan Lynch and Jose Ortiz. He’s been off for 3 months and is a strong closer. BetPTC.com Selections / #5 – Lone Sailor / #9 – Flameaway / #13 – Quip

#5 Lone Sailor comes from the Thom Amoss barn and they are winning at a 21% clip. He has been off for three months and ships in from CD. His last effort was in the BC Classic and had an eventful trip tossing in a 7 wide dud. Regular rider James Graham back in the saddle and sports a bullet to get ready. He is 2 for 3 ITM at FG and looks prepared for a sharp effort. #9 Flameaway is a speedy son of Scat Daddy who has been on the shelf for five months. Tyler Gafflione in the irons and was a beaten favorite last out at Parx where trainer Mark Casse comes back to score 25%. Tyler will send from the gate break and be tough to catch if left alone to his own. His early turn can be effective as Gafflione wins 21% with speed type runners. #13 Quip is making his 7th career start off a 9 month layoff. Luis Saez has the mount and can be forwardly placed from the start. After getting bested in the Preakness he is looking to get his 2019 campaign on track. The bullet work at Payson may be a great sign of things to some and a little maturity can make him a new runner starting off the year.

Race #10 – The G3 FG Handicap – 1 1/8 on the turf – 5:57 pm EDT

BetPTC.com Selections / #6 – First Premio / #7 – Combatant / #9 – Synchrony

#6 First Premio is a son of Pure Prize for the red hot Mark Casse barn winning 25%. He is 2 for 2 ITM over the course and 4 for 5 ITM on the sod. B.J. Hernandez in the irons and he is winning at 38% this meet. This is his second off the shelf and steps back up in class. The Big Easy may be his kickoff point for the 2019 campaign. #7 Combatant has Jose Ortiz in the irons for Steve Asmussen. This son of Scat Daddy is only 1 for 4 ITM on the green and has faced some tough guys in his past. His dam Border Dispute has 9 starters, 8 winners, and 5 turf winners to her credit. There may be some hidden nuggets of gold with this runner once they hit the weeds. #9 Synchrony  has Jersey Joe Bravo in the driver’s seat and this son of Tapit is a perfect 3 for 3 on the FG sod. He was the beaten chalk in the G2 Seabiscuit and was forced to steady 4 wide in the lane. He is 10 for 11 ITM on the weeds and is bred to relish the sod and distance.

#3 Serengeti Empress is a speedy daughter of Altercation and been away for three months in the BC Juvenile Fillies. She has a powerful turn of foot and her works have shown a new campaign plan. Catch her if you can. #10 Chasing Yesterday has Drayden Van Dyke in the saddle for Bob Baffert and is looking for her 4th straight win. This daughter of Tapit has 5 starts and 4 wins. She is a perfect style as a closer and should relish the early pace in here. #4 Positive Spirit has the services of Manny Franco and looks to duplicate off a strong 10 length win in the G2 Demoiselle at Aqueduct. He is a strong late closer and his dam Candy Fortune has 2 starters with 2 winners. Florent Geroux has the call and is 2 for 2 ITM over the FG oval. This colt may be ready to get it all together this weekend. #14 War of Will is a son of War Front for trainer Mark Casse. Ever since coming off the turf he has shown big improvement. He is looking for his third straight win and 2nd in a row at FG. Tyler Gafflione in the saddle and is a perfect stalker looking to keep his record perfect at the distance. #13 Kingly is a lightly raced son of Tapit. He was a beaten chalk last out in the slop and his dam has 4 starters with 4 winners. He has the look of a front runner who will get better very quickly. Aqueduct

Race #4 – The G2 Demoiselle – 1 1/8 – 1:02 pm EDT

BetPTC.com Selections / #7 – Molto Bella / #1 – Enliven / #6 – Afleet Destiny

#7 Molto Bella is a daughter of Violence for the Ian Wilkes barn. Javier Castellano has the call and she can sport a good turn of early foot. Two back she went from a sprint to a one turn mile at CD in the Rags to Riches four wide gaining on the winner. She should benefit from the high percentage Castellano 25% at Aqueduct and be much closer to the action. 2nd route races yield a 21% win clip from the Wilkes barn. #1 Enliven comes from the Kiaran McLaughlin stable and is a stone cold closer. She ran a very game 3rd in the G3 Tempted and gets the services of Jersey Joe Bravo. The rail is winning 28% and she’ll come calling late in the lane. #6 Afleet Destiny comes off a quick closing effort at Parx for Uriah St. Lewis with strong closing rider Irad Ortiz in the irons. She’s been knocking on the door and received her diploma last out on the step up in class.

Race #8 – The G2 Remsen – 1 1/8 – 3:12 pm EDT

BetPTC.com Selections / #5 – Network Effect / #6 – Maximus Mischief / #3 -Bourbon War

#5 Network Effect is a solid closer in a race filled with speed. He hails from the Chad Brown barn with Javier Castellano in the driver’s seat. He had a very nice maiden break at Saratoga and came rolling 6 wide last out. He should relish the added distance and Brown wins 36% going second time at the route distance. #6 Maximus Mischief is a speedy colt who is seeking his third straight win coming in from Parx. Frankie Pennington comes in for the ride and will be sending this son of Into MIschief right to the lead. He has a bullet work on 11/16 at Parx and looks ready for the next step. #3 Bourbon War comes from the Mark Hennig barn with Irad Ortiz in the irons. He has a win at the “Big A” and appears to be a perfect stalking sort. Ortiz is an excellent closing rider and this son of Tapit may get right in the game at the top of the stretch.

Race #9 – The G1 Cigar Mile – 1 mile – 3:45 pm EDT

BetPTC.com Selections / #3 – Sunny Ridge / #8 – Pattern Recognition / #1 – Mendelssohn

#3 Sunny Ridge is a son of Holy Bull for the Jason Servis barn. Irad Ortiz has the call and they team up to win 34%. He exits the G2 Kelso going a mile and should enjoy the distance where he is 5 for 5 ITM. Manny Franco to Ortiz, and a solid stalker in the field. I’m looking for a big effort getting the job done around the far turn. #8 Pattern Recognition comes in off a win in the G2 Kelso and should be a major pace player for the Chad Brown barn. He is 2 for 2 at Aqueduct and looks for three in a row. I think Jose Ortiz will send and he’s one of the best speed riders in the nation. #1 Mendelssohn is a son of Scat Daddy for Aidan O’Brien with Ryan Moore in the saddle. He’ll show good speed, and Moore is always dangerous anytime he takes a mount. He’s cutting back from a mile and a quarter and may improve at the shorter distance.
