Race#8 – The G3 Native Diver – 1 1/8 miles dirt – 7:00 pm
BetPTC.com Analysis / #5 – Azul Coast / #6 – Eight Rings / #7 – Ax Man
#5 Azul Coast is a son of Super Saver exiting a 49 day break from the races for Bob Baffert. Flavien Prat in the saddle for this stalker who takes a drop in class from the G1 Awesome Again. Rider and trainer are winning 53% as a team the past few months, and in the last 14 days they are 5 wins from 7 starts. Look for a well timed ride just off the pace in the patient hands of Prat making the winning move around the far turn. Solid works, and 2 for 2 ITM at Del Mar. #6 Eight Rings hails from the Baffert barn under J.J. Hernandez. Should be a closer into the pace stalking the speed; drops in class from the G1 BC Dirt Mile. This son of Empire Maker has a bullet work off his last race and appears to fit into this field much better. #7 Ax Man also enters for Bob Baffert and exits the G3 Kona Gold showing speed. Mike Smith is the new reinsman and should break sharply and grab the lead. Smith wins 26% with route runners and may be the danger in here.
Race #6 – The First Lady – 6f – 2:34 pm
BetPTC.com Analysis / #2- Amadevil / #5 – Twerk / #1 – Esplanande
#2 Amadevil comes in with a perfect record and seeks her 6th straight win. This daughter of Dominus has blistering early speed under Chelsey Keiser. She ships in from Cleveland and will be breaking quickly from the start. Look for a well timed wire to wire effort in this event. Keiser is a 6 for 6 with this filly. #5 Twerk is a closing daughter of Speightstown for Jeff Radosevich, and J.A. Bracho in the irons. She jumps back into Ohio company and has a swift late turn of foot. She’ll come calling as the speed starts to unravel during the course of the race. She is a perfect 2 for 2 over the course. #1 Esplanande has speed from the rail draw for Tim Hamm and Malcolm Franklin. She has three 2nd place efforts over the track from three attempts, and been knocking heads with Amadevil and Twerk in her past races. Player who deserves respect.
Race #7 – The Cardinal – 6f – 3:02 pm
BetPTC.com Analysis / #4 – Altissimo / #7 – Liberate / #5 – Diamond Dust
#4 Altissimo is seeking his 4th straight win and this Ohio millionaire is 10 for 16 ITM over the course for Richard Zielinski and Erik Barbaran who are winning 25% as team this year. Late runner who’ll come rolling as the speed starts to back up a bit. His last race closing four wide is what I’m looking for more of today. #7 Liberate has wicked speed and was the beaten chalk facing Altissimo last out. He hails from the Tim Hamm barn and was DQ’ed last out after sporting speed on a track that was playing to closers. Could turn the tables today with Malcolm Franklin in the driver’s seat. #5 Diamond Dust is a speedy sort from the Radosevich barn and caught that closing bias track last out. J.A. Bracho in the irons, and is 6 for 8 ITM over the Mahoning course. This son of Paynter will vie for the lead and if need be or just stalk closely waiting for the right move.

Race #9 – The $500k Dueling Grounds Oaks – 1 5/16 miles turf – 5:50 pm
BetPTC.com Analysis / #6 – Adventuring / #8 – Core Values / #9 – Earth Strike
#6 Adventuring hails from the barn of Brad Cox and failed as the beaten favorite last out. Switching riders to Joel Rosario and should relish the added distance. Add in a bullet work off her last race and Rosario may have a live runner in his hands. #8 Core Values is a late runner from the barn of Victoria Oliver with Rafael Bejarano in the irons. This daughter of Honor Code is shooting to make it four in a row and can launch a strong bid turning for home in the long undulating stretch. #9 Earth Strike enters for trainer Mark Casse. Declan Carroll is in the saddle and makes her 2nd off a layoff move today and has a late kick that will enjoy the added ground. Caroll wins 11% on the turf and is bred to relish the European course by Zoffany (IRE) and Another Storm who has 11 starters, 10 winners, and 9 turf winners to her credit. She would be an excellent complement to exotic wagers.
Race #10 – The $750k Dueling Grounds Derby – 1 5/16 miles turf – 6:25pm
BetPTC.com Analysis / #12- Du Jour / #11 -Last Samurai / #8 – Cellist
#11 Du Jour is a late runner from the Bill Mott barn with Joel Rosario in the driver’s seat. This son of Temple City is 5 for 6 ITM on the turf and has always brought his top game every start. Look for a late run as Rosario will guide him into contention from the outside post and get a better seat to launch a late bid. He drops in class from G1 company at Saratoga, and 3rd off the layoff with an outside post to relax and find himself may be the key. #11 Last Samurai is a son of Malibu Moon for Dallas Stewart and Jon Court in the irons. The barn wins 20% off a last race win shipping in from Colonial Downs. He is stepping up in class, but his snappy late kick can have him in contention turning for home. Court is a seasoned veteran who has been riding over the undulating course for years, and when the money is on the line that can be a big factor. #8 Cellist is a speedy son of Big Blue Kitten for Rusty Arnold and Julien Leparoux. He will be the pacesetter and if allowed to dictate the pace with dawdling fractions at the half, it can be trouble for the late runners.

Race #9 – The Susan’s Girl – 7f – 4:36 pm
BetPTC.com Analysis / #6 – My Sassenach / #3 – Demurely/ #7 – Outfoxed
#6 My Sassenach is a stalker from the David Braddy barn who is 2 for2 ITM at GP. Miguel Vasquez in the irons and gave an excellent account of herself last out stalking just off the pace and opening up down the lane. Add in a sharp work and she looks like a major player. #3 Demurely is a late runner for trainer Roger Laurin with Chantal Sutherland in the saddle. She ran a fast closing 2nd to the top selection in here and looks to turn the tables going an extra furlong. Sutherland wins 21% with sprinters and could be a dangerous filly today. #7 Outfoxed is a deep closer from the Bill Mott barn with Edgard Zayas in the driver’s seat. She’s a maiden stepping way up, and Bill Mott knows exactly where to spot his runners. She must be up to the task or wouldn’t be in here. She was off a step slow last out and with a clean trip may be ready to graduate today.
Race#11 – The Affirmed Stakes – 7f – 5:48 pm
BetPTC.com Analysis / #5 – Cajun’s Music / #6 – King Cab / #8 – Cattin
#5 Cajun’s Music is a stalking sort who should be closer to the pace getting added ground to run. Michale Yates is the trainer with Jesus Rios getting the nod. He is 3 for 3 ITM at GP and should be right near the engine and will be a factor turning for home. The barn wins 19% with nongraded stakes. #6 King Cab hails from the Eddie Plesa barn and is a perfect 1 for 1 over the track. He had a tough break from the gate and Samy Camacho gave an excellent ride last out as the odds on favorite kicking clear and drawing away. Plesa wins 21% with nongraded stakes races. #8 Cattin goes postward for Ralph Nicks and Luca Panici in the saddle. He was well bet in debut and had a strong late kick down the lane. Player for exotic wagers when making final decisions.
Race#8 – The Bison City – 1 1/16 – 4:58 pm
BetPTC.com Analysis / #1 -Miss Speedy / #2 – Miss Marie / #3 – Emmeline
#1 Miss Speedy is a speedster going to post for John Mattine and Emma-Jayne Wilson. She is still a maiden but brings her A game every time. She should display excellent early speed and will be dangerous on the lead looking to take down the field wire to wire. She cuts back in distance and that is a plus favoring her early turn of foot. #2 Miss Marie is a late closer in the capable hands of David Moran. She cuts back in distance and could be a danger with a fast pace setting up her late running style. #3 Emmeline hails from the Jon Mattine barn and shows blistering early speed. This is her 4th off the layoff cutting back in distance today. She’ll be vying for the lead and ran a huge 2nd place last out. She is 4 for 5 ITM at Woodbine and can be a major pace factor today.

Race#8 – The CTT & TOC Stakes – 1 3/8 on the turf – 8:30 pm
BetPTC.com Analysis / #5 – Rideforthecause/ #1 – Neige Blanche / #4 – Tapwater
#5 Rideforthecause comes off a two month break for Michael McCarthy and Mario Gutierrez in the saddle. This daughter of Candy Ride should be in mid pack ready to stalk the leaders on the final turn. The barn scores 17% with nongraded stakes and her dam Danceforthecause has two starters, two winners, and both are on the turf. #1 Neige Blanche hails from the Leonard Powell barn and gets a perfect rail spot under Juan Hernandez. She’ll be close to the pace and seek the perfect trip along the rail. Hernandez is a patient hand in the saddle and wins 23% with stalkers. #4 Tapwater hails from the Dick Mandella barn with Umberto Rispoli in the irons. This is her 2nd start off the layoff and was a beaten chalk last out. The barn comes back to score 28% on this move and is 3 for 4 ITM at DM. Lok for Rispoli to launch a bid following the top flight as he wins 24% on the greensward.
Race #8 – The Greenwood – 7f on the turf – 4:43 pm
BetPTC.com Analysis / #2 – Gretzky the Great / #3 -Bode’s Tipsy / #4 – Artie’s Storm
#2 Gretzky the Great exits the Jeff Ruby Steaks four months ago and goes synthetic to turf for Mark Casse. Kazushi Kimura is in the saddle and this son of Nyquist is 3 for 3 ITM over the course. He may move forward going back to a sprint and won the G1 Summer last year over the course. Time off with sharp works makes him dangerous today. #3 Bode’s Tipsy is a stalker who is 3 for 4 ITM over the course. This son of Bodemeister has turned in two solid races on the green and makes the move up the ladder. Keveh Nicholls has the ride and may improve returning back to a sprint. #4 Artie’s Storm is a late runner for Paul Buttigieg with David Moran in the irons. He moves up in class from his last race, and if the way he closed is any indication he could upset the apple cart down the lane.
Race#10 – Benny the Bull – 7f – 5:56 pm
BetPTC.com Analysis / #5 – Well Defined / #7 – Silvery Enough / #2 -Pro Quality
#5 Well Defined is a speedy runner from the Kathleen O’Connell barn with Emisael Jaramillo in the irons. He is 11 for 15 ITM at GP and has been off for 50 days. Look for a quick break and rush to the lead from the break. Jaramillo wins 26% with sprinters. #7 Silvery Enough hails from the Saffie Joseph barn and is a late closer. 3rd off the layoff for a barn that is winning 23% at the meet. Fresh off the claim and Joseph wins 31% with new runners to the barn. Edgard Zayas has the call and wins 26% teaming up with Saffie Joseph. #2 Pro Quality is a stalker who is 8 for 9 ITM at GP. Luca Panici has the call and this runner may improve returning back to a sprint. Trainer Ralph Catanese is winning 14% at the GP meeting.
