She won this race last year closing from the clouds, and this gal is a horse for the course who should offer up a good account of herself. #5 Sally Strong is a front running style filly for trainer Mike Rone. Luis Rivera has the call and is 4 for 4 ITM over the track, and with moisture predicted should play right into her plans. #7 Circus Rings is an early style runner for Valerie Shanyfelt and is a horse for the distance 3 for 3 ITM going 9f. Race#7 – The $100,000 Ohio Juvenile – 1 1/16 – 3:08 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #7 – Thedayofthegrey / #1- Tantrum / #9 – Stalking Moon

#7 Thedayofthegrey is a son of Twinspired for Bobby Cline with Sonny Leon in the saddle. He has three wins from four starts and the other effort was a third. He will be forwardly placed and Leon is an excellent reinsman who can get him to settle in and relax on the lead. His style should enjoy a soft going.  #1 Tantrum hails from the Winblaze LLC team for trainer Tim Hamm. This runner has solid late kick under Malcolm Franklin and has finished 2nd to Dayofthegrey in the past. Rider and trainer win 29% as a team and should enjoy the added ground to get rolling over the deep surface. Franklin wins 19% with route runners and is a patient hand in the irons. #9 Stalking Moon goes to post for Mike Maker and Alex Canchari in the saddle. He has plenty of tactical speed and makes his 3rd start off the layoff adding blinkers this effort. Just broke his maiden at Indy Grand, and back in his pp’s ran second to Dayofthegrey as the beaten favorite.

Race#8 – The $100,000 John Galbraith – 1 1/16 – 3:41 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #1 – Christmas / #9 – Candlelight Hours / #11 – Flatter Her Again

#1 Christmas is a two year old daughter of Constitution and a perfect 2 for 2 lifetime. Tim Hamm the conditioner with Gerardo Corrales in the saddle. She gets first time Lasix and should be right on the pace coming off a three month layoff win in the Tah Dah Stakes at Belterra. She owns a sharp work over a muddy surface and should fit into the race well with rain predicted in the forecast.  #9 Candlelight Hours ships in from an effort at Presque Isle off the synthetic. Returns to the dirt for James Jackson and the triumphant return of T.D. Houghton off a bad injury last year. He’s already notched a win and ready to keep his tally rolling. A perfect stalker who should get the garden trip under Houghton moving on the far turn. #11 Flatter hails from the Thom Amoss barn with Edgar Morales aboard. She always knocks on the door and looks to lay just off the lead and seek the perfect trip.

Race#9 – The $100,000 Sprint – 6f – 4:14 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #9 -Altissimo / #7 -Morestride / #1 – Chief Randel

#9 Altissimo hails from the Richard Zielinski barn with Erik Barbaran in the irons. He is 9 for 15 over the course ITM and has the perfect stalking style. The barn wins 31% with non graded stakes and sports a sharp work leading into the race. If it comes up a bit soft; no problems as he is 7 for 9 ITM on off tracks. #7 Morestride goes post ward for Mike Rone and Luis Rivera. He is 3 for 3 ITM at Mahoning and has been racing outside of Ohio company. Today he returns and the barn comes back to score 38% off a beaten chalk angle their last effort. #1 Chief Randel draws the rail spot and has a win in last year’s edition of the this race. Blinkers back today and is 4 for 8 ITM over the course. He relishes softer surfaces going 4 for 5 ITM. Player in the outcome today at a solid price.

Race#10 – The $100,000 Endurance – 1 1/4 – 4:47 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #7 – Forewarned / #13 – Wicked Warrior / #9 – Mo Don’t No

#7 Forewarned is a late runner for Uriah St. Lewis and Sonny Leon. They step back into Ohio company after running in graded company outside of the Ohio circuit. He is 4 for 4 ITM at Mahoning and will enjoy the distance and softer track. Look for a good late kick turning for home as Leon wins 20% with route runners. #13 Wicked Warrior is a stalker for Team Feliciano, and returns to face Ohio company again. His only knock in the #13 post, but has the class to break sharply and move over to save precious ground. He ran 2nd last year to Forewarned  in the same predicted conditions as he prepares to turn the tables this year. #9 Mo Don’t No appears to be sitting on a big race at a square price. He’s a tactical runner who’ll be behind the leaders poised to pounce coming off a solid work for trainer Gary Johnson and Alexander Chavez. He goes from a sprint to a route, and is 8 for 8 ITM going long. This son of Uncle Mo loves the track and especially if the sky opens up. Don’t dismiss at 15-1 on the morning line.

Keeneland

Race#7 – Perryville Stakes – 7f – 4:12 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #1 – Soup and Sandwich / #6 – Pipeline / #4 – He’smyhoneybadger

#1 Soup and Sandwich has been been off for five months since the Kentucky Derby. He hails from the Mark Casse barn with red hot Tyler Gaffalione who is winning 28% for the meet. He draws the rail and drops down the class ladder. The rail has been the place to be all meet and Gaffalione will send right from the break as he wins 21% with early speed runners. #6 Pipeline is a stalker from the Chad Brown barn with John Velasquez in the saddle. He comes off a 49 day break from the races and moves up in class off an impressive maiden win. He graduated that day going 7f and sports some solid works coming into the race. Look for this son of Speightstown to be just off the leaders and poised to pounce around the far turn. The barn wins 28% with shippers and he comes in from Saratoga rested and ready. #4 He’smyhoneybadger is a long range closer for trainer Brad Cox who is winning 24% at the KEE meet. 3rd time off the layoff, and has some nice works to show readiness. Florent Geroux has the call.

Race#9 – The G2 Raven Run – 7f – 5:16pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #13 – Obligatory / #9 – Zainalarab / #11 – Miss Speedy

#13 Obligatory is a late running filly from the Bill Mott barn with Florent Geroux in the irons. 2nd time off the layoff exiting the G1 Cotillion at Parx and cuts back in distance with a new rider in the saddle. Look for a stalking trip from mid pack as Geroux works his way over to save ground. She won the G2 8 Belles at CD going 7 panels and should be tough turning for home. #9 Zainalarab is a daughter of War Front for Chad Brown and John Velasquez getting the nod. Brown is winning 31% for the meet and 27% off a last race win. They ship from Saratoga off a two month break and have some good works over the deep Oklahoma Training Track. She is lightly raced but three for three ITM lifetime. Look for a good late punch on the far turn angling for position in the stretch. #11 Miss Speedy sports plenty of early foot from the Mark Casse barn exiting the synthetic at Woodbine. B.J. Hernandez in the driver’s seat and look for him to send as soon as the gate opens. The distance should play into her plans, and if left alone could upset the apple cart.

#3 Moretti is an up close speed style runner for Todd Pletcher and Luis Saez. He exits the G1 Sword dancer and makes the turf to dirt switch today. He drops in class and Saez should have him just off the leader’s flank ready to move. Saez wins 28% teaming up with the Todd Squad and the distance should be no problem for this son of Medaglia D’ Oro. #2 Math Wizard hails from the Saffie Joseph barn with Ricardo Santana in for the call. He’s a stone cold closer who is 1 for 1 at Parx. Here has plenty of races facing tougher and should fit better in here today. Rosario is the regular rider and fits like a glove looking to make it three straight wins. A talented colt who looks ready for a prime effort coming off two bullet works. #6 Beren hails from the Robert Reid barn with Frankie Pennington in the irons. A local runner who can stalk just off the pace. He is 6 for 8 ITM at Parx and his home field advantage can be a plus in these races. #4 Pickin’ Time is closer for the Kelly Breen barn with Luis Saez in the driver’s seat. 3rd effort off the shelf and turns back in distance today. Saez aboard makes him dangerous anywhere he runs. Add in the sharp work under his belt and you have a runner who cannot be tossed out of exotic wagers.

Race#11 – The G1 Cotillion – 1 1/16 – 5:02 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #6 – Clairiere / #5 – Army Wife / #2 – Allworthy

#6 Clairiere looks double tough for trainer Steve Asmussen and his go to rider Ricardo Santana. She exits the G1 Alabam off a stalking trip that day and looks to have the same game plan today with the exception of going to the winner’s circle. Santana back aboard is a good sign, and when he rode this gal last it was 2020 at CD where he looked the perfect fit. #5 Army Wife is the closer type for the Mike Maker barn with Joel Rosario aboard. She always makes a late run and looks to keep knocking heads with some familiar runners in this race. 2nd off the layoff coming in fresh and ready. #2 Allworthy is a stalker from the Saffie Joseph barn with Florent Geroux in the irons. She is 5 for 6 ITM lifetime and always gives a good account of herself. Geroux aboard is a plus as he rises to the occasion in big money races.

Race #12 – The G1 Pennsylvania Derby – 1 1/8 – 5:49 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #7 – Hot Rod Charlie / #8 – Midnight Bourbon / #3 – Speaker’s Corner

#7 Hot Rod Charlie is a son of Oxbow for the Doug O’Neill barn with Flavien Prat in the saddle. Winner of the G1 Haskell and comes in fresh and ready off a two month layoff. Prat will have him stalking just off the pace ready to take command at his asking. #8 Midnight Bourbon is pure speed from the Asmussen barn with Ricardo Santana carrying his Winchell colors. This son of Tiznow just got beat in the shadow of the wire in the G1 Travers and looks ready for a top effort. #3 Speaker’s Corner is a lightly raced late runner from the Bill Mott barn with Jose Ortiz in the saddle. His 2nd start of 2021 looking to get his fall campaign kicked off today. He moves up in class, and Mott only sends them when they are ready for a top effort. The price is enticing in exotic wagers.

Rosario wins 21% with stalkers and does very well with Clement scoring at a 25% win clip. I’m looking for a mid pack move before they turn for home with the patient hand of Rosario finishing strong down the lane. #2 Our Secret Agent is a strong late closer for Mark Casse and Antonio Gallardo in the irons. They are going from a sprint to a route and Casse wins 16% on this move. This is 4th off the layoff and only her second time on the greensward. She has solid breeding on the dam side and should give a good account of herself as Casse spots his runners well. #1 Court Return is a daughter of Court Vision for Josie Carroll who is 8 for 12 ITM over the course. #3 Pappacap hails from the Mark Casse barn with Joe Bravo in the irons. This son of Gun Runner did not disappoint at first asking and drew off to win by better than two lengths in the lane. Gun Runner wins 37% with first timers comes back off a two month layoff with some sizzling works under his belt. #4 Finneus is a late runner with Umberto Rispoli in the saddle. This son of Stay Thirsty came rolling late in the lane to rush by the pacesetters under Flavien Prat. Switching to Rispoli is a strong move who wins 19% with closers. I’m looking for a repeat move in the hands of Rispoli today. #1 Bet On Mookie hails from the Peter Miller barn with Abel Cedillo in the driver’s seat. He was very impressive on the turf winning his maiden and shows great confidence moving right back to the dirt off a 57 day layoff. Trainer Peter Miller wins 22% making the surface switch.

Race#10 – The G2 Yellow Ribbon – 1 1/16 on the turf – 9:30 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #3 – Charmaine’s Mia / #4 – Dogtag / #8 -Princess Grace

#3 Charmaine’s Mia is a speedy gal from the Phil D’Amato barn with Joe Bravo aboard. She was heavily favored in the G1 Gamely and yielded down the stretch. The barn comes back to score at a 26% clip off a beaten chalk angle and cuts back in distance with a class drop to the next level. Her dam Charming Vixen has 2 starters with 2 winners to her credit and will be dangerous in the hands of Bravo. #4 Dogtag is a daughter of War Front for Dick Mandella and Umberto Rispoli in the saddle. She’s a stalker and Rispoli wins 24% on the greensward. Her dam Diamond Necklace has 3 starters with 3 turf winners to her credit. She is 8 for 10 ITM on the grass and Rispoli will get her rolling as they turn for home. #8 Princess Grace hails from the Mike Stidham barn with Kent Desormeaux in the irons. A stalker who is 5 for 5 ITM lifetime looks to make things interesting as she has the patient ability to pounce when asked.  Kent D wins 18% on the turf, and this is her 2nd start of the year with a bevy of bullet works under her belt.

Race#8 – The G3 West Virginia Derby – 1 1/8 miles dirt – 5:35 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #5 – Warrant / #4 – Mr. Wireless / #1 – Bourbonic

#5 Warrant is a son of Constitution for Brad Cox and Florent Geroux. He comes in off a two month layoff and takes a step up in class to try his hand. He looks solid and Geroux is a confidence booster as he raises his game when the money is on the table. Cox is red hot winning 28% on the year and brings his late runner to pick up the pieces down the lane. #4 Wireless hails from the Bret Calhoun barn with Ramon Vazquez in the saddle as the morning line pick. This son of Dialed In was impressive winning the G3 Indiana Derby and should stalk just off the pace under Vazquez who is winning 19% on the year and 30% with Calhoun. #1 Bourbonic has been off for two months exiting the G1 Belmont. Todd Pletcher comes to town with Eric Cancel from New York and will be making a strong late run. The rail is winning 20% over the course and Cancel wins 20% going a route of ground. I like his draw and the underrated Cancel will have him in top gear turning for home.

BetPTC.com Analysis / #3 – C Z Rocket / #2 -Vertical Threat / #8 – Dr. Shivel

#3 C Z Rocket is a late runner from the Peter Miller barn with Florent Geroux flying in for the mount. He’s been off for two months and was a beaten favorite at Lone Star last out where the barn comes back to win 25%. Geroux seems to fit this son of City Zip and they are 1 for 1 at DM. He should be in mid pack looking to pounce as they approach the quarter pole. #2 Vertical Threat is a speedy son of Tapiture for Richard Baltas with Joe Bravo getting the call. It’s been 8 months since his last race at Mahoning Valley and won his only start at DM.  Bravo has acclimated to the California scene and he wins  18% with early speed style runners. #8 Dr. Shivel is a mid pack stalker looking to notch his 4th straight win for Mark Glatt and Flavien Prat in the irons. This son of Violence is making his 2nd start of 2021 and has a perfect 2 for 2 over the DM course.

#4 Founder hails from the Chad Brown barn with Paco Lopez in the saddle. This is his 3rd start off the layoff where the barn wins 15% and wins 27% with shippers. Lopez is winning 20% on the turf and Chad Brown scores 26% with non graded stakes runners. Look for a patient ride and making a solid move into the stretch. #2 King of Dreams is a speedy colt for Juan Avila and Albin Jimenez. He is well bred for the green and will try and wire the field as Jimenez wins 17% with early speed runners. #1 It Can Be Fun makes his 3rd start off the layoff and goes from a sprint to a route where the barn scores at a 25% clip. Jose Ferrer is in the driver’s seat and 2 for 3 ITM over the track. The rail has been the place to be winning 23%.

Race #10 – The G3 Monmouth Oaks – 1 1/16 – 4:33 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #9 – Edie Meeny Miny Mo / #2 – Midnight Obsession / #3 – Leader of the Band

#9 Edie Meeny Miny Mo is a stalking type filly with Victor Espinoza in the irons. She is lightly raced and a perfect 2 for 2. Her early speed going two turns should work to her advantage, and coming off a 48 day break with sharp works may signal she is ready to move to the next level. #2 Midnight Obsession goes to post for John Servis and Paco Lopez getting the nod. A game effort in the G3 Oaks last out shows the ability at this level and should benefit from Lopez as he wins 21% with tactical runners. Look for a close stalking trip today. #3 Leader of the Band hails from the John Servis barn with Frankie Pennington aboard. She has early speed which may help her cause today and gave a good account of herself in the G3 Oaks last out finishing third. Pennington may be the right fit as he wins 26% with route races and 22% with early speed.

Race #8 – The G2 Eddie Read – 1 1/8 on the turf – 8:30 pm

BetPTC.com Selections / #2 -United / #3 – Say the Word / #4 – Count Again

#2 United is the winner of last year’s Eddie Read and cutting back in distance for Richard Mandella and Flavien Prat. This son of Giant’s Causeway is 4 for 4 ITM at DM and is perfect going 9f. A stalker who will sit in mid pack under the patient hand of Prat should get a solid trip. Add in a sharp work and Prat’s 27% win clip on the green and we have a dangerous runner ready to fire off a 56 day break. #3 Say the Word hails from the Phil D’Amato barn with Mike Smith in the irons. He exits the G1 Shoemaker Mile rolling from the back of the pack coming off a 54 day layoff. Smith still has the hands of a conjurer when it comes time to push the button at the top of the lane. #4 Count Again is another D’Amato trainee who is one for one over the course and has the services of Joe Bravo. He is regally bred to relish the greensward and exits the G1 Turf Classic at CD where he was running from the back of the pack.

Race#10 – The G2 San Clemente – 1 mile on the turf – 9:30 pm

BetPTC.com Selections / #2 – Going Global / #9 – Madone / #12 – Closing Remarks

#2 Going Global goes postward for Phil D’Amato and Flavien Prat in the driver’s seat. She’ll come calling late in the lane and is shooting for her sixth straight win. A versatile filly who can give a well timed effort at any distance.  Part is the turf master and wins 38% teaming with the barn and sports a 27% win clip on the weeds overall. #9 Madone comes in for Simon Callaghan and exits a suspect race where she didn’t give her best effort last out. She faded down the stretch and we’re going to toss that race and look forward to her getting back to a mile where she has 4 wins from 5 starts. Juan Hernandez has the call and wins 20% with late runners. #12 Closing Remarks comes in off an eventful race where she clipped heels as the odds on favorite facing Madone. Umberto Rispoli for Carla Gaines and they look to fire right off the bench after a two month layoff.

She is 1 for 1 at Woodbine and this stalker will try and negotiate the perfect trip after shipping in from Belmont in the G1 Just A Game. #10 Jolie Olimpica hails from the Josie Carroll barn where they are winning 27%.
