Woodbine

Race #3 – The G2 Canadian Stakes – 1 1/8 miles turf – 2:16 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #3 – La Draogontea / #2 – Our Secret Agent / #1 – Court Return

#3 Dragontea hails from the Christophe Clement yard with Joel Rosario in the saddle. She had the perfect prep winning at Saratoga and comes in moving up a notch in class. Rosario wins 21% with stalkers and does very well with Clement scoring at a 25% win clip. I’m looking for a mid pack move before they turn for home with the patient hand of Rosario finishing strong down the lane. #2 Our Secret Agent is a strong late closer for Mark Casse and Antonio Gallardo in the irons. They are going from a sprint to a route and Casse wins 16% on this move. This is 4th off the layoff and only her second time on the greensward. She has solid breeding on the dam side and should give a good account of herself as Casse spots his runners well. #1 Court Return is a daughter of Court Vision for Josie Carroll who is 8 for 12 ITM over the course. Luis Contreras is in the driver’s seat and she is bred to relish the sod. She closed eight wide last out to finish fourth and should enjoy the distance today.

Race #9 – The G1 Canadian International – 1 1/2 miles on the turf – 5:35 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #3 – Desert Encounter / #2 – Walton Street / #6 – Fantasioso

#3 Desert Encounter comes to post from the David Simcock yard with Daniel Thudhope making the journey. This son of Hailing is bred for the lush turf and is regally bred to enjoy the journey. The barn wins 66% with graded stakes and has held his own in Gr company the past year. He’s a late runner and Thurdhope is a talented rider who can finish with a flourish. #2 Walton Street gets first Lasix for the Charlie Applebee yard with Frankie Dettori in the saddle. He ships in off a solid effort in a Gr 1 effort in Germany, and should stalk off the leaders under the talented Dettori. His dam Brom Felinity (AUS) has two starters, two winners, and two turf wins to her credit. #6 Fantasioso is a late runner for Ignacio Correas with Joel Rosario getting the call. After facing graded company his last race may be the perfect prep to get things back on track. Rosario is a patient but strong hand in the irons and will get a good trip from this son of Strategic Prince (GB).

Race  #10 – The G1 Woodbine Mile – 1 mile on the turf – 6:12 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #5 – Set Piece / #7 – Raging Bull / #10 – Space Traveller

#5 Set Piece hails from the Brad Cox barn and has the services of Joel Rosario in the irons. He has been the picture of consistency this past year and has a swift late running punch turning for home. This is 2nd off the layoff and Cox wins 25% with graded stakes and shipping in from Saratoga where he scores 27% with fresh scenery. #7 Raging Bull goes to post for Chad Brown and Frankie Dettori. He was beaten chalk in the G1 Fourstardave and looks to get back in 2019 form where he put in a strong closing move in the G1 Woodbine Mile. Brown has two bullet works coming in with one of the best riders in the world. Do not leave off of your wagers. #10 Space Traveller finished up strong in the G1 Mr. D at AP last out. Daniel Tudhope takes the call and trainer Brendan Walsh wins 22% with runners making the 2nd start for his barn. He has a top shelf rider in the saddle and should not be dismissed.
