#1 Joyful Cadence is a speedy daughter of Runhappy for John Ortiz and Tyler Gaffalione in the saddle. Ships in from CD off a 48 day break and sports very good speed from the rail post. The rider is 10 for 17 the past week ITM and Ortiz wins 20% with his shippers. #4 Frank’s Rockette is a late running gal for Bill Mott and hot rider Luis Saez in the irons. She is 2 for 2 ITM over the course and hasn’t run since the Breeders’ Cup Sprint 56 days ago. She has a bullet work over the deep Payson Park training facility and should come calling on the cut back in distance. #6 Coppelia is a stalker for Philip Bauer and Martin Garcia getting the call. She is looking to make it 3 straight and ships in from CD off a 48 day rest.

#3 Bay Storm hails from the barn of Jonathon Thomas with Jose Ortiz getting the nod. She has been off for three months and is trying a route for the first time. She should be much closer to the pace and Ortiz wins 19% with this type of runner. Look for an up close run today and Ortiz will try to take over around the top of the lane. #10 Lady Rockstar is a late running daughter of Frankel (GB) for Brendan Walsh with Irad Ortiz in the saddle. #1 Scottish Star is a stalker for the Todd Pletcher barn with Luis Saez getting the call. Draws the rail and will save ground in the hands of the ultra talented Saez. The rail is winning at 20% and was a beaten chalk last out turning back in distance. Dangerous gal if she gets a good trip.

#5 Steal Sunshine is a late running son of Constitution for Bobby Dibona and Leonel Reyes is the saddle. He is 5 for 7 ITM over the course and cuts back to a distance more to his liking. His last work was a sharp outing and looks ready for a top effort. #8 Uncle Earl hails from the barn of John Servis and sports a quick turn of early speed. He is seeking three straight in the hands of Irad Ortiz who wins 25% with his speed runners. #9 Dean Delivers is a stalker for Michael Yates and Miguel Vazquez in the saddle. He is a horse for the course going 8 for 9 ITM over the course.

#12 Colonel Liam hails from the Todd Pletcher barn with Irad Ortiz aboard. The son of Liam’s Map hasn’t run in nine months since shipping back from Dubai. He is 3 for 3 over the course and Ortiz wins 25% with his turf closers. #4 Shadow Sphinx is a late running son of Pioneer of the Mile for Mike Maker and Paco Lopez in the irons. He is bred for the turf and comes off a 48 day rest. He has some work over the course and can come rolling late in the lane. #2 Marwad is a late running gelding for Moubarak Mohamed and Derby winning rider Sonny Leon. He’ll be a solid price and will come rolling late in the lane in the capable hands of Leon who knows how to get a longshot to run.
