Race #5 – O.C. $75,000 – 6f – 1:57 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #5 – Dean’s List / #4 – Dean Delivers / #7 – Shastree

#5 Dean’s List sports quick early foot off a strong maiden win for Todd Pletcher with Luis Saez in the irons. He was impressive in debut and looks to have plenty more in the tank. First time Lasix yields a 21% win clip and Saez wins 21% with early speed runners. #4 Dean Delivers comes off a 5 month layoff with Tyler Gaffalione in the saddle. He drops in class and owns a sharp work while adding Lasix. He is 2 for 2 ITM over the course and should be just off the speed looking to pounce. #7 Shastree is a late runner with Irad Ortiz getting the call. First Lasix and comes off a 56 day rest. Ortiz is a strong finisher and wins 25% with late runners.

Race #8 – The G3 Tropical Turf – 1 mile on the turf – 3:37 pm

BetPTC.com Analysis / #1 – Largent / #4 – Value Proposition / #2 – Clear Vison

#1 Largent is a son of Into Mischief for Todd Pletcher with Luis Saez in the saddle. He comes off an 11 month layoff and loves the course going 6 for 6 ITM. A stalking sort where the rider and trainer are 6 for 7 ITM as a team. He sports a bullet work and gets the rail draw which will be a plus coming off an extended layoff. Cutting back in distance where he is 3 for 3 ITM. #4 Value Proposition hails from the Chad Brown barn with Irad Ortiz in the irons. 3rd time off the layoff and 5 for 6 ITM at the distance. Ships in from New York where Brown scores at a 28% win clip. #2 Clear Vision is a speedy son of Artie Schiller with Julien Leparoux. 2nd time off the layoff and needs to step up his game in this group. His dam Refreshing has 3 starters, 3 winners and 3 turf winners to her credit.

Santa Anita

BetPTC.com Analysis / #3 – Big Switch / #5 – Awake at Mydnyte / #1 – Under the Stars

#3 Big Switch is a late running daughter of Mr. Big for John Sadler and John Velasquez. She is a late running gal who is a perfect two for two.  The barn scores 22% off a last race win and Johnny V is 11 for 15 the past week. She’ll make a late run and be in the mix as they turn for home. #5 Awake at Mydnyte early running daughter of Nyquist for Doug O’Neill and Mario Gutierrez. She makes the turf to dirt changeover and cuts back in distance. The distance will have her in high gear as they turn for the money. #1 Under the Stars is a late running daughter of Pioneer of the Nile for Bob Baffert and Flavien Prat. She broke her maiden impressively at LRC and will make a run at the pace setters under the guidance of Prat who wins 27% with late runners.
