Game on Dude dominates the Pacific Classic

Game on Dude left no doubt who the best horse in the west is, as he dominated the $1,000,000 Pacific Classic at Del Mar on Sunday.  Sent off as the 8/5 favorite, Game on Dude (BetPTC.com 2nd Selection) broke beautifully and went cruising right out to an easy early lead, setting fractions of 24.19 and 47.96 for the first two quarter miles.  Delegation put some token pressure early on, but Game on Dude and Martin Garcia never looked back, as they pulled away down the lane to win by eight and a half lengths.   Kettle Corn (BetPTC.com Longshot) got up to finish second while 40/1 shot You Know I Know ran third.  Dullahan was a disappointment as he was last for much of the trip and only passed a few also rans in the final furlong as the second choice.

Fed Biz came flying late to get up and capture the Grade 2 Pat O’Brien Stakes at seven furlongs.  Goldencents (BetPTC.com Top Selection) was sent off as the favorite and battled early on with No Silent.  Goldencents was able to put that rival away and opened up a length and a half in mid-stretch before getting caught by by Fed Biz in the final yards, as Fed Biz closed from ninth at the quarter pole to get the win.  Obviously (BetPTC.com Top Selection) once again went right to the front and never looked back, as he and Joe Talamo galloped around the track to win the Del Mar Mile.  Sent off at 1/5, Obviously held of He Be Fire N Ice who rallied strongly to finish second, beaten only a half length in the end.  Silentio (BetPTC.com 3rd Selection) finished up in third.

My Brown Eyed Guy continues to dominate at Calder 

My Brown Eyed Guy (BetPTC.com Top Selection) continued his dominance in the Florida Stallion stakes events as he went wire to wire to win the $125,000 Affirmed Stakes.  My Brown Eyed Guy and Antonio Gallardo were able to set a very moderate pace, and held on to win by two and a quarter lengths over Best Plan Yet (BetPTC.com 2nd Selection) and Purchango (BetPTC.com 3rd Selection).  In the Susan’s Girl it was Scandalous Act (BetPTC.com Top Selection) who went wire to wire as well, but she opened up down the lane to win by eight and three quarters lengths.  Quinnkat (BetPTC.com 2nd Selection) ran second at 16/1 while Holiday Magic (BetPTC.com 3rd Selection) ran third to complete an ice cold trifecta worth $63.

Secret Kitten (BetPTC.com Top Selection) was another wire to wire winner as she took the Catcharisingstar Stakes.  Sent off at odds of 4/1, Secret Kitten went to the front and never looked back as she won by four and a half lengths.  Ya Esta ran on for second, ahead of Solitary who was third.  Flat Out Charming (BetPTC.com 2nd Selection) was able to come from off the pace, against the trend for the day, to win the Lindsay Frolic Stakes.  Race favorite Bella Traviatta (BetPTC.com Top Selection) went to the front but ran out of steam as they came to the top of the stretch and faded to finish fifth.  Light Bringer (BetPTC.com 3rd Selection) rallied to get up for second while Look of a Star ran on for third.

Brothersofthetime (BetPTC.com Top Selection) and Fernando Jara rallied from off the pace and held off a very tough East Hall (BetPTC.com 3rd Selection) to win by a nose in the Seacliff Stakes.  Bon Accord (BetPTC.com 3rd Selection) scored the biggest upset of the day as he won the Turf Dash at 46/1.  Blue Grass Derby set the pace early on, but couldn’t match strides late with Bon Accord who rallied late to win by almost two lengths.

Conquest Titan all the way in the Swynford Stakes

Conquest Titan went all the way at Woodbine on Saturday afternoon as he and Eurico Da Silva took the $125,000 Swynford Stakes.  Sent off at odds of 4/5, Conquest Titan broke sharply and battled with Tuscan Getaway (BetPTC.com 3rd Selection) early on.  Conquest Titan disposed of that rival and was able to hold off 30/1 shot Dig A Little Deeper (BetPTC.com Longshot) who rallied up to finish in second.  Conquest Titan won by five and a quarter lengths in the end.
