Race #8 – The G2 Elkhorn 1 1/2 on the turf – 4:44 pm ET
BetPTC.com Analysis / #1 – Channel Maker / #2 – Value Engineering / #5 – Red Knight
#1 Channel Maker is a speedy son of English Channel for Bill Mott with John Velasquez aboard. He comes off a 2 month break and is 3 for 6 ITM over the KEE course. Winner of last year’s edition and had an eventful prep showing speed at GP. He is eligible to move forward and come out swinging from the gate break. #2 Value Engineering is a strong late closer for Mike Maker with Tyler Gaffalione in the saddle. He ships up from GP and Maker wins 18% with his runners getting new surroundings. Tyler G wins 16% with his turf closers and should come rolling as they straighten for home. #5 Red Knight is a son of Pure Prize for Mike Maker and Gerardo Corrales in the irons. He exits a win at GP and makes his 2nd start of the year. Look for a late move on the far turn.
Race #9 – The G3 Ben Ali – 1 3/16 miles dirt – 5:16 pm
BetPTC.com Analysis / #5 – Rattle N Roll / #4 – Skippylongstocking / #1 – Pioneer of Medina
#5 Rattle N Roll hails from the Ken McPeek barn with B.J. Hernadez in the saddle. A solid closer making his 2nd start of the year and the barn wins 19% with 2nd timer runners off the layoff. #4 Skippylongstocking goes to post for Saffie Joseph and Irad Ortiz in the driver’s seat. A stalker coming off a win at Tampa Bay and should be right on the pace with the added distance. Ortiz wins with 24% of his stalking runners. #1 Pioneer of Medina comes from the Todd Pletcher barn with Tyler Gaffalione in the irons. He draws the red hot rail which is winning 34% and makes his 3rd start of the year. Should be right near the leaders.
Aqueduct
Race #3 – The $100,000 Woodhaven – 1 mile on the turf – 2:24 pm
BetPTC.com Analysis / #6 – Neural Network / #4 – Belouni / #5 – Inflation Nation
#6 Neural Network is a stalking son of Cloud Computing for Chad Brown and Manny Franco aboard. He was a beaten favorite in the $100,000 Gander and looks to turn the tables coming off a 56 day break. This is his first try on the sod and his sire wins 21% with first timers trying the greensward. #4 Belouni hails from the Chad Brown barn with Jose Ortiz in the driver’s seat. He is 4 for 5 ITM on the turf and made his first effort in the States last out shipping over from France. It was an eventful trip and was bumped around soundly. Scrap that last effort and look for a new runner today with a clean start. #5 Inflation Nation is a late runner for Christophe Clement coming off a five month break. He is 3 for 4 ITM and tries a mile for the first time. He should be closer to the pace under Dylan Davis.
